A Poem

"Untitled"

Oh, I think my love for you has no end
Can't you realize and understand the way I treat you
But I think you already knew the feelings deep inside me
I hate to love you more deeply 'coz I knew I would fail.

You are pretty smart to do some kind of art
Your eyes are as beautiful as the beauty of your face
And so with the beauty of all the arts that you made
But as bright as the sun which I cant even take a glance.

Why do I have this shy feelings which made myself far from you
How I'd wished we were closed since the start
Now I see that regrets are always at the end
Making myself too far away from you is a never easy feelings.

I love the things you have to show, appreciation I meant to give
I wont get closer to you 'coz I knew you go away
Underneath my heart and mind, i stood near you
I couldn't come closer 'coz something's stopping me to go through.

How can I tell you this feelings in my heart
Even if I can find a better woman than you
I will never ever forget you 'till the end
It's alright for me, for you to miss something about me

Every time I'm with you, I feel like heaven with an angel
I'm not forgetful enough to miss your smiling face and gorgeous eyes
Happy I would be if you would become as part of my life
But now I know that you'll never be with me and that's alright

A Featured Blog

In relation to my previous post entitled My Catholic Faith which was a poem composed by none other than myself, I am featuring a blog whose creator are Traditional Catholics from Cagayan de Oro City and that happens to be my place.... Yes I joined them in fact I am with them. They are also members of the Legion of Mary in which I myself is a devout Marian.

The Society of Saint Pius X is a priestly congregation founded by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre who has no really intention of establishing a priestly congregation. But for the request of the many who are devoted to the Catholic faith wanted him to stand up and eventually founded a congregation. The purpose of this priestly congregation is to preserve the Catholic tradition and to continue the Catholic priestly ministry and stand againsts the modern errors of Vatican. The society has never invented something new with regards to Catholic faith in morals and doctrine thus promoting the infallible doctrines of Catholic faith.
The Society of Saint Pius X in Cagayan de Oro started about 2004 and it has been 4 years now that the society is celebrating the older version of the Mass which is called the Tridentine Mass. Their group has slowly gaining popularity since they also have a friendster account(http://profiles.friendster.com/traditionalcatholicssspx) to invite people to the Mass. The Mass is what is important so they need to do cathecism all over Cagayan de Oro. For more informtation about their group and inquiries regarding Catholicism you may contact them through:

My Catholic Faith

MY CATHOLIC FAITH

In the day I see the sky; the watery leaves that drop by
The mornings fresh that in that day; I always wake up with a pray

My day won't start with out my God;I owe my life for He's my Dad
To Him my life I should submit; to Him I return and soon we'll meet

I gave thanks to my Savior Jesus; who died for me through the Cross
The bread I eat the blood I drink; Strengthens me what ever I think

I honor His Mother Blessed Mary; without her I will never merry
The sweetest Mother ever lived; She'll be a model to me indeed

I obtain grace through the sacrament; for this life we have is not permanent
I know that I am not perfect; That's why I need these perfect

The perfect I mean is the Holy Mass; through which my venial sins are smashed
I go to a priest to confess my sins; I felt unworthy I had terrible sins

The saints in heaven is to me they pray; I also pray to those who stay
Prayers to them can save their suffer; together we dine during supper

I am not afraid to speak on my faith; because my faith possesses the gate
To eternal life She leads me through; my Catholic faith is the only True.

Creative Commons

Do you have privately made works such as writings, poems, photo images, unique thoughts and many other stuffs that you'd like to stamp with a license? I found a website (I don't know if you've been to this site) that allows you to have your works licensed! Creative Commons Website. However, the site do not or is not permitted to provide legal advice or legal services to assist anyone with enforcing Creative Commons licenses. That is to say that the site is not a law firm that will give your works fully copyrighted. Not totally.

Here are some of the first three of their FAQ

Can CC give legal advice about its licenses or help with CC license enforcement?

No. We are not permitted to provide legal advice or legal services to assist anyone with enforcing Creative Commons licenses. We are not a law firm. We're much like a legal self-help site that offers free form-based legal documents for you to use however you see fit.

However, if you are based in the US, you may be able to find a suitably qualified volunteer lawyer in your area from Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.

Is use X a violation of the Noncommercial clause of the licenses?

Depends. Determining what does and doesn't constitute commercial use is not always easy. We are aware of the complications related to drawing a line between commercial and noncommercial use and are working to clarify the issue.

If you are really in doubt about whether a particular use violates the noncommercial term of a CC license, we recommend that you use works that are explicitly licensed for commercial use (for example, material under our BY, BY-SA, and BY-ND licenses). Alternatively, you may wish to approach the licensor directly to see if you need to discuss a commercial use agreement.

CC is currently conducting a study on the meaning of noncommercial. We hope to announce the results of the study in early 2009.

Does my use constitute a derivative work or an adaptation?

It depends. A derivative work is a work that is based on another work but is not an exact, verbatim copy. What this precisely means is a difficult legal question. In general, a translation from one language to another or a film version of a book are examples of derivative works. Under Creative Commons’ core licenses, syncing music in timed-relation with a moving image is also considered to be a derivative work.

All Creative Commons licenses allow the user to exercise the rights permitted under the license in any format or media. This means, for example, that under the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-NoDerivatives 3.0 Unported license you can copy the work from a digital file to a print file, as long as you do so in a manner that is consistent with the terms of that license.

read more of their FAQs

Before Licencining, you must:
  1. Make sure your work falls within the Creative Commons license
  2. Make sure you have the rights
  3. Make sure you understand how Creative Commons licenses operate
  4. Be specific about what you are licensing
  5. Are you a member of a collecting society? If so, does it allow you to CC-license your works?
So, I recommend this site if there are some things that you need to be licensed. Make sure you meet their guidelines. I am also making my personal and private works on their hand. Happy blogging. Have a nice day.

Survivor Philippines

Who amongst you do watch Survivor Philippines?(Among Filipinos of course, or including non - Filipinos who are a fan of Survivor in any country) For me I say that there is something wrong with that reality TV and I believe that it is somewhat deceiving. And who are deceived? Us of course.

Before the official airing of Survivor Philippines in GMA7, the list of castaways has been introduced to us through GMA7 of course. All castaways are from different parts of the Philippines and we noticed that there are Cebuanos and tagalogs.
List of Castaways:
  1. Charisse
  2. Chev
  3. Cris
  4. Emerson
  5. Gigit
  6. Jace
  7. JC
  8. John
  9. Kaye
  10. Kiko
  11. Marlon
  12. Nikki
  13. Nina
  14. Patani
  15. Rob
  16. Vern
  17. Vev
  18. Zita
After i think 21 days(?) of survival in the island, many things happen. More information on these sites: SurvivorPhilippines.com(blog) SurvivorPhilippines.org(blog) SurvivorPhilippines.tv (official website), the normal ups and downs in the show and the inevitable conflicts between each castaways. But there is one man that caught my attention. Who is this man named Marlon Carmen? In the show, he is showing a clever and a bad image. And yet he survived that long. I don't question his long survival in the show. But my question is, why is he showing a negative attitude towards each castaway and to many viewers in the Philippines as well. Have you seen how he is interviewed during each episode? He seems to be unique in the show.

As far as I know, the producers have planned to get 16 castaways only. Later, they have decided to add two more castaways to make it eighteen. For me I think that they only needed one castaway. A castaway that is only "add on" to the show. But to make it even, they made it to add two more to sum up to 18. This "add on" character is a "CON ARTIST" or confidence artist added to spice up the show. I am referring to no other than Marlon. I really believe that he is just an actor inside the show. Look at him how he acted and his internal behavior, that is not quite normal for a normal castaway. Believe me he is just an actor!

Today, Friday November 7, 2008. Time for voting out one castaway on the night of tribal council. The votes are pointing to Marlon vs Kiko evenly with four votes each. The last vote will be declared on Monday, Nov10. I am willing to bet that Kiko is out of the game! I also believe that the votes are manipulated by the Survivor staff to make the show thrilling!

I might be wrong with my intuition, but I am 95% sure about this. If ever I am wrong, I will edit this post and add notes for my apology to Marlon and to the Survivor staff.

Peace!

New President Barack Obama

I have posted some days ago about the life of Barack Obama. As far as I know, Obama is leading in the surveys for US presidential candidate. Even in months ago, his name is already fragrant in many sorts of media most especially the Internet. Some months ago, while I was not yet blogging and all I do in the Internet is just surfing, searching and do many sorts of Internet stuffs. I usually go to YouTube and watch many videos. One time I came to a channel of Mr Dan Brown on YouTube and I notice he is somewhat 'endorsing' the presidential candidate Obama. Here is one of his recent videos about why he is voting Barack Obama as the president:

Obama's name is already spread all over the world via Internet and I have watched in the News that Obama spent much more money in doing campaigns in whatever ways. Another thing is that this Dan Brown has influenced much on his viewers and if you try to see how much viewers he gain in You Tube, the number is significant. What I am trying to say is that Obama has made a good campaigning strategies compared to McCain. Other than that, Obama's platform is quite better than McCain (subjective point of view) though McCain is more experienced in most things considering the fact that he is a war veteran, etc.

Life is ironic. Look at Bush, he gained much votes from American citizens, disregarding the possibility of cheat, but on the latter part of his term, many hated him and wanted him ousted! Would Obama be like Bush later? or will he do better or worse than Bush? Nah! what ever it is, I don't care because politics are always dirty whether or not the politician's intentions are good or not. Corruption is inevitable.

hehehe

All Saints Day

It is sad to know that the Feast of All Saints is understood differently be so many people especially by Catholics. I really don't know what they think about this feast but for clarification, I give this short background about this feast.

All Saints' Day (also called All Hallows or Hallowmas), often shortened to All Saints, is a feast celebrated on November 1 in Western Christianity, and on the first Sunday after Pentecost in Eastern Christianity in honour of all the saints, known and unknown. In terms of Roman Catholic theology, the feast commemorates all those who have attained the beatific vision in heaven, while the next day, All Souls' Day, commemorates the departed faithful who have not yet been purified and reached heaven.

In the early Church, Christians would celebrate the anniversary of a martyr's death for Christ (known as the saint's "birth day") by serving an All-Night Vigil, and then celebrating the Eucharist over their tomb or the shrine at their place of martyrdom. In the fourth century, neighbouring dioceses began to transfer relics, and to celebrate the feast days of specific martyrs in common. Frequently, a number of Christians would suffer martyrdom on the same day, which naturally led to a joint commemoration. In the persecution of Diocletian the number of martyrs became so great that a separate day could not be assigned to each. But the Church, feeling that every martyr should be venerated, appointed a common day for all.

A commemoration of "All Martyrs" began to be celebrated as early as the year 270, although no specific month or date is mentioned in existing records. The first trace of a general celebration on a specific day is attested in Antioch on the Sunday after Pentecost There is mention of a common day in a sermon of St. Ephrem the Syrian (373), and the custom is also referred to in the 74th Homily of St. John Chrysostom (†407), who speaks of a "feast of martyrs of the whole world." As early as 411, there is found among the Chaldean Christians a general commemoration of all Confessors (Commemoratio Confessorum), celebrated on the Friday after Easter.
